Forum on the application of best practices and presentation of the “Shtigen VC” first GREEN non-public venture fund, followed by thematic panel discussion

Shtigen Group of Companies, with substantial facilitation support of Shtigen Advisory and input by Shtigen Ventures, is organizing a forum entitled “Innovative Financial Instruments and the Private Sector’s Role in Fueling Green Business ”.

The event aims at mobilising and leading private sector’s engagement into climate action by structuring innovative financial instruments and engaging with international climate financiers.

On March 31 (15:30-18:30),  distinguished representatives from state bodies, leading experts in the field, as well as business leaders, will convene at the “Tigran the Great” Ballroom of the Armenia Marriott Hotel to discuss the latest trends in green energy development in Armenia and globally. Additionally, the challenges of green finance, the role of pension and venture funds in overcoming these challenges, and attracting private and institutional capital will be discussed.

More specifically, during the forum the following key issues will be presented:

  • ► Key pillars of Armenia’s green development strategies;
  • ► Financial sources to fuel greening of the economy;
  • ► Potential uptake of international best practices;
  • ► Needs for policy and regulatory advancement;
  • ► The rationale behind establishment of “Shtigen VC” non-public venture fund.

Forum is structured in two parts starting with keynote speeches and presentations about subject areas described above, to be followed by panel discussion by distinguished experts/influencers on the innovative green finance instruments and their applicability in Armenia.
