How you are paid for the excess electricity passed to the grid? How the billing is calculated between an owner of a solar PV station (autonomus producer) and the grid? The billing period starts on January 1st and ends on December 31st

– if the consumer (autonomus producer) doesn’t have any credit in kWh and his consumption in a given month for any reason exceeded the amount generated then he has to pay the difference to the grid.

– if the consumer (autonomus producer) has an electricity credit and his consumption in a given month for any reason exceeded the amount generated then the credit will be included in calculations and he wouldn’t have to pay.

– by February 1 of the next year the grid should pay back at full tariff the difference of consumed and generated electricity for which he had to pay at any moment during the year. For example, in January and February the autonomus producer didn’t have any credit and has paid for the amount of electricity consumed above generation, but later his PV station has has generated that amount which he hasn’t consumed.

– If the whole-year difference of generated and consumed amounts of electricity is positive then the grid is obliged to pay for that difference using half tariff by February 1 of the next year.
