These consumer systems are neither being taxed nor licensed. No batteries need to be installed which reduces the investments.
The electricity consumed by the business is generated by the PV station on its own building’s roof or the space next to the building.
The regulation allows up to 500kW for entities (150kW for individuals) to be installed for individual use. The role of the accumulator is played by the grid (“Electric networks of Armenia” and “ArtsakhEnergo”) the PV station is connected to. When consumption is more than generation the difference is supplied by the grid. When generation is excessive the excess is supplied to the grid which will later allow to get the same amount from the grid for free. The energy flow is monitored and fixed by the Net Metering mechanism using a bidirectional meter.
Pros: the lowest investments and service needed, long life
Cons: in case of a blackout no energy could be generated
