The biggest surprise of Leasing Expo 2023 was seen coming in the yard of the Sports and Concert Complex. The guests and visitors gathered at the booth of the Andron company, a part of the Shtigen Group, were looking forward to see what the silver sheet hid.
The Andron company is the official and only representative of Neta brand of electric vehicles in Armenia.
The official presentation of Neta S, the latest generation model of the 100% Neta brand electric vehicle, was attended by the delegation from China, Vahan Kerobyan, the RA Minister of Economy, the management staff of 𝐒𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐞n 𝐆𝐫o𝐮𝐩, representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of China in Armenia, and businessmen.

Wang Chen Ji, the Deputy Director of the Neta car brand, who had arrived from China, reminded the journalists that Armenia was a part of the “Silk Road” project. “We attach great importance to Armenia’s both geographical and political position on that road. Internationalization is extremely important to our brand policy. Here we present electric cars equipped with the most advanced technologies, underscoring the gist that these cars will be available to the general public.”
Despite its five-year old history today the Neta brand holds a place in the top twenty list of Chinese electric car sales, and the only official representative of electric cars in Armenia is Andron company, which has been collaborating with this Chinese brand for over 3 years.

The Neta S electric vehicle, distinguished by many features, among them, perhaps the most vivid—its swing-up doors, is unique both in Armenia and in the region.
This is already the 3rd model of this very brand, all of them are from different price segments` designed for various purposes. “The Andron company offers not a new car, but rather introduces a new culture to the Armenian market. One that can change a new quality of life in the society. That very culture embraces a whole chain, starting from the comprehension, that we should get on to the green behavior, i.e., in this case to an electric vehicle, to their professional and responsible maintenance. Truly for a good reason before the import of electric vehicles we took part in establishing the legal field of the market, opening a professional center for the maintenance of electric cars, and only after that opening a car saloon,” says Armen Melyan, Head of the Andron company. The company is going to introduce a charging system in Armenia with a three-phase version, which allows the car to be charged in at least half an hour.
As Hayk Shekyan, Shtigen Group Founding Director, put it, the future definitely belongs to electric cars. “Armenian businessmen can cooperate with Chinese companies not only in the direction of Armenia, but also that of the region. We are going to expand the cooperation with Neta to include also Georgia, as well as develop the car service culture and reach the milestone that the electric cars produced for the Chinese market will from now on be produced with the account of the peculiarities of the consumers of our region and, in general, the characteristics of the region (both climate and road and the consumer preferences).
Shtigen had prepared another surprise to be given during the presentation: a car with the outline of 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐚 𝐒 was depicted on the easel, and the special guests and attendees could subtly fill in to receive the complete image of the vehicle symbolizing the Armenian-Chinese friendship.
