“Our goal is to reach the point where every house in Artsakh has its own solar plant and water heater. In this way, we will ensure the energy independence and security of Artsakh, that is, in the event of gas supply interruptions due to enemy aggression, the population of Artsakh will not only continue to have hot water and electricity, but also will not overload the power grid, and there will be no power outages,” says the founding director of Shtigen Group Hayk Shekyan.
The Sunrise in Artsakh project was launched in April of this year, calling on our compatriots and the world, in general, to join the initiative to contribute not only to the restoration of the post-war settlement but also to the preservation of the environment and the saving of the planet’s resources through solar technologies.

The Shtigen Group provided and installed solar water heaters for free, sending its specialists to Artsakh. The list of beneficiaries has been drawn up, giving priority at this stage to persons who died in the Artsakh wars, disabled persons, and families with many children. They will have free hot water in the next 20 years.

“We are aware that we have initiated a program that requires a large financial investment, enormous efforts, and unrelenting consistency. However, we are sure that this project of strategic importance is feasible, and we are starting the implementation with our decisive step,” Hayk Shekyan notes.
